Olavsgaard Hotel is a business hotel north of Oslo half way to Gardermoen Airport (Oslo Airport). This is a fairly nice hotel, not new but still ok. The room I got was clean and big enough, as where the bath. However, at this time of year, can it often be a problem to get the temperature correct in a room. This room was ice cold, and not a place I wanted to stay after check-in. I boosted the heater and went out. After an hour was it ok in the room, but the bath was not possible to control the temperature, so it was cold over the night – not good! The room itself was perfect for one person in one night. The other problem I got was that the internet Wi-Fi didn’t work in this room, even if it was on the first floor. I had to sit in the lounge to be able to use the internet. The restaurant had some great food, but it was in fact very expensive! The bar had also too high prices. Also, be aware that the hotel claims they are a cash free zone hotel!! Well, after telling them that this is not allowed in Norway, based on the fact that you should be able to pay with legal currency (cash as in paper money, coins or card), did they in fact accept cash payment……. All in all am I not too satisfied, but it still might be that I check in again at a later time….

The hotel was OK, though the cleaniness of the rooms was not on top - under the bed they had not been bothered to take the dust and the mirrors and windows were filled with spots. The breakfast was good and people were friendly. Furniture and interior kind of old and very used.

The hotel was clean, but very outdated. It screams 80`s... The food was great and the breakfast among the best I have had at hotels. The only thing is that they need to work on their vegetarian option cause my maincourse at dinner was terrible. And I am not a picky vegetarian.. All in all a great hotel, great welcoming personel with some room for improvement regarding food (vegetarian not the rest) and interiour. I did not pay for the room since I was there on a conference where all was covered so that is why I have no review on the value...
